The bus manufacturer required structural bonding and sealing for front windshield and side window glass. Buses operate on open roads long-term, suffering high-speed wind pressure, wide winter-summer temperature fluctuation and continuous road vibration. The client required high bonding strength with no cracking, debonding or detachment, to eliminate window water leakage and cabin air ingress. The sealant also needed elasticity to absorb body deformation and vibration. Conventional silicone sealants lack sufficient structural bonding strength for safe windshield assembly.

JR-996 modified polyurethane sealant was applied for structural bonding and sealing between the bus front windshield and the metal body frame; side window glass was assembled with the same product. High initial tack prevents glass slippage after positioning; the anti-sagging formula suits vertical-surface caulking. After curing, the highly elastic compound absorbs driving vibration and thermal expansion-contraction deformation; its paintable & sandable property facilitates subsequent body paint repair.
